AND

ETS Para Pro Assessment score of 450

Or

48 hours credit hours (see job description for details)

Or

Associate’s Degree

Or 

Child Development Associate Certification (CDA)

AND

Computer Literate

AND 

Must pass physical exam

AND

Must pass standard pre-employment criminal background check

HEAD START PARAPROFESSIONALS

Associate’s Degree in child development 

or Baccalaureate Degree in child development or early childhood education

(Or equivalent coursework)

OR

Child Development Associate Certification (CDA)

 

AND

Must pass Child Care Criminal Background Check (CCCBC)

Community Based Early Learning Centers

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR TEACHERS IN COMMUNITY BASED EARLY CHILDHOOD LEARNING CENTERS (NOT SCHOOL SITES)

 

Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate or other traditional teaching certificate, or will obtain such certificate from BESE within 24 months of start date
